ERICA A. HART, CSA (Casting Director / Writer / Producer) was born and raised in Washington, DC. She graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, majoring in film and television, and began her career at ABC Primetime Casting, where she spent seven years working on shows like HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, THE GOLDBERGS, and STATION 19. Following her time at ABC, Erica worked as Meredith Tucker's Associate Casting Director, working on projects such as GODFATHER OF HARLEM, THE BOLD TYPE, DEFENDING JACOB, and RAY DONOVAN. In 2020, she went solo and officially started Hart Casting.

 

TV/Streaming credits include BLACK MIRROR, A BLACK LADY SKETCH SHOW (winner of the 2024 ARTIOS AWARD), THAT DAMN MICHAEL CHE, JODIE, BUST DOWN, THE GIRLS ON THE BUS, THE EQUALIZER, and SURVIVAL OF THE THICKEST.

 

Broadway: CHICKEN & BISCUITS, PASS OVER, DEATH OF A SALESMAN, and JAJA'S AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING.

 

Film: THE SURROGATE (winner of the 2021 ARTIOS AWARD), WE STRANGERS, LAPSIS, VEO VEO A FAMILY, and CUPIDS.

 

Additionally, she cast H.E.R's music video for FIGHT FOR YOU and has cast for numerous commercials for big companies like Geico, Essie, Maybelline, Gillette, Hasbro, and Delta to name a few.

 

Erica is an active board member of the Casting Society, a member of Local 817, and the Television Academy. She also serves as an educator at various colleges and universities. Additionally, she is a writer and producer, having secured development deals from WeTV and BET. Recognized by The Hollywood Reporter as a rising talent, Erica's multifaceted expertise in filmmaking, theatre, music, and dance ensures she brings a fresh perspective and unwavering dedication to every project she undertakes.
